INFOBIZKAIA 97 --------------- REQUIREMENTS In order to consult INFOBIZKAIA 97 you need an IBM Personal Computer or compatible working under the DOS operating system, with: - 386 processor or higher (486 recommended). - 4 Mb RAM - 7 Mb hard disc space available. - VGA graphic card. - Use of the mouse is recommended. INSTALLATION Inportant: In order to avoid incompatibilities, read the section "Most frequently problems" and follow instructions. Create a destination directory (e.g.: INFOBIZ) and decompress all files contained in it (there are no directories stacked). To execute the programme, key in INFOBIZ and press "enter". MOST FREQUENTLY PROBLEMS - The programme does not work with Windows 95: * Reboot the computer in MS-DOS mode and type: C:\> INFOBIZ - The programme does not work in a DOS task of Windows (only Windows 3.x): * Edit the SYSTEM.INI file and insert the line: [386Enh] device=c:\infobiz\windpmi.386 - The programme does not have sufficient memory available: * Remove all "resident" programmes except the mouse controller and re-execute. * Consult about the possibilities of loading into DOS memory, especially if you are using version 5.0 or later. - The programme can not open certain files, although these are present in the directory. * Check that the CONFIG.SYS file has the line FILES=40 or higher. - The mouse does not work correctly, the arrow does not move or leaves an annoying trail on the screen. * Check that the driver is installed in the same series port as the mouse (CON1/COM2). * Update the driver f your mouse with a more recent version. - The programme finishes with an error or leaves the computer stopped. * It has been proved that the programme does not work correctly with some of the latest Microsoft mouse drivers (especially version 9.01). Replace it, deactivate it or execute the programme from Windows (only Windows 3.x). - The printing process takes too long or finishes with an error of insufficient memory. * Select a lower resolution or follow the procedure explained earlier to achieve more memory. - On executing the programme, an error message appears in English, without having entered the programme itself. * Check that the extended memory manger HIMEM.SYS, included in the operating system, is installed. If it is not, install it by adding the following line to the CONFIG.SYS file: device=c:\dos\himem.sys * If you are using QEMM, eliminate or comment the line: rem device=c:\qemm\qdpmi.sys swapfile=dpmi.swp swapsize=1024
